Yes! We’re happy to have self-published, indie published, and traditionally published books enter the contest.

This year we are offering 1st Place Prizes for 2 categories: Children’s Book and Adult Book (it can be a memoir, a self-help book, an inspirational book, etc. whose audience is teens or adults). The books can be fiction, or nonfiction.

For a limited time only, you can enter your book nomination for just $35! This reduced fee is available until October 21st.

Extended Submission Deadline:

You now have until October 31st to submit your nomination at the regular rate of $50.

Please send an electronic version of your book, a physical copy of the book (for photos of the winning book! *optional) and your $50 payment (see our bookstore for payment). This is a great way for you to encourage others to read your book and to vote for it! Your book will be visible on the Baby Hearts Press website for the duration of the contest. When your book wins an award, it shows the world that it has value.

There will be a prize for the BHP People’s Choice Award which will consist of:

• $100 cash prize for 1st place

• 100 award seals to showcase your book

• A press release to amplify your reach

• An exclusive interview on Heart to Heart with Anna, our podcast dedicated to sharing impactful CHD stories!

You can still enter the contest. Please send us a note to explain that you won’t be sending a physical copy of the book and please understand that if your book wins, we won’t be able to take photos of the book for an announcement.

Yes! As long as the book was not a BHP People’s Choice Award Winner, a book can be resubmitted for consideration again.

Tell everyone you know who has read your book to vote for your book. There are questions the voter must answer for the vote to count. Votes without reasonable answers to the questions will be disqualified. Tell your customers that your book has been nominated for a BHP People’s Choice 
nomination and put a spotlight on your book. This is a time-sensitive award. Make sure there’s a sense of urgency so that voters don’t miss the deadline.

They don’t tell people their book has been nominated and they don’t encourage people to vote. Even if people love a book, they need to be encouraged to vote for the book and answer the questions so their votes count. What incentive do your readers have to vote for your book? What’s in it for them?

That’s up to you! Be creative and encourage your fans to let us know how much they love your book. Maybe you’ll have a virtual party to celebrate if you win? Or set up a special book signing somewhere? Or read aloud from your book to your fans? Have fun and engage with your readers. Good luck!
